General Show Registration Information
Congratulations for deciding to exhibit your plants in our orchid show! It is a fun and rewarding experience.
The process is rather straightforward. If you are exhibiting plants or setting up an exhibit at an AOS-sanctioned show, you yourself must be registered as an exhibitor, as well as each plant exhibited, and the exhibit itself. Exhibitor registration is the process of assigning each show participant a sequential EXHIBITOR NUMBER; this is done by the Registration Committee. Plant and exhibit registration is the process of assigning category numbers to the plant and/or exhibit; this is done by the exhibitor. An individual SHOW ENTRY TAG must be completed for each plant and exhibit entered for judging.
We no longer use the self-carboning entry hang tags. Tags for each exhibitor's entries are printed at the time of registration check-in at the show. There is a blank form available to print off from this website which you can use to list your show entries. Just click on the link blank form for show entries.
The Mid-America Orchid Congress, of which the Greater Cleveland Orchid Society is a member, standardizes this registration process by providing member societies with current classification information, plant abbreviation lists, and registration entry forms.
The GCOS website provides this registration information in one convenient location.
This website will also provide the ability for show pre-registration which will ease the pressure of exhibit set-up during show set-up day. The pre-registration facility will be fully activated on April15th, 2008. On-line registration will be permitted only until Thursday, April 24th, 2008.
